The truth of nihilism leaves human being without a source of value outside the self.  Faced with this nothingness, humans either embrace this reality and its implications for all aspects of human being, that is, they recognize the nothingness as the place where Being reveals itself as itself, as pure potential-to-be-value or they do not embrace this reality and its implications for all aspects of human being, that is, they see the nothingness and take it to be the negation of Being, denying value altogether.  Only those who do the former can become creators of values.  This is post-nihilism affirmation existentialism.  Nietzsche says, "He [the noble being] honors whatever he recognizes in himself."  This statement should not be understood as saying that he glorifies and proclaims as 'good' whatever he just so happens to find in himself.  Rather, the noble being searches himself for what is powerful within him and he honors this.  He re-cognizes what is worthy of honor in himself and honors it.  He names his own gods (not in the sense of an arbitrary bestowal of a name or an arbitrary choosing of a god, but in the sense of a recognition of an essence for which he already knows the name), he invokes them and lets appear their glory, and there results in the noble being, "the feeling of plenitude, of power, which seeks to overflow . . . an impulse generated by the superabundance of power [to help the unfortunate].  The noble man honours in himself the powerful one."  This mortal existence that unfolds in the realm of Becoming and takes material physical existence as its medium for creation is joined directly with Being itself by means of the spiritual aspect of mortal existence and through this comes inspiration for the creation of values.  This joining of Being and Becoming is accomplished by means of the realm of the daimons, a realm embraced by both Plato and Heidegger.  This joining of Being and Becoming, of the truth of Parmenides and Heraclitus, is the source of value-to-be-created by the mortal.  The mortal that creates such value is indeed an ubermensch.
