Free Grow
I let go
in order to grow down,
into dark, nutritious ground.
I feed my garden
nectar of golden apples.
Having freed my hands
of tares from elsewhere,
my plants grow so full
weeds send up flares
just to be noticed.

Moonshadows
Tall twisted oak stands solid in her affrighted woo
Such longing, but faintly sensed by some soft-treading stranger
Her message, like a mantra, repeats in hushed tones
"Many times removed from its source is the shadow of the Moon's light
Primordial being's sounding, if heard, is never wrong or right"
And so shiverless in stillness do her roots and branches reach
Deep blue and grey cold seeping into winter's wood
Icy is her stare and fierce limbs do moan and creak
Yet devotion follows in the footsteps of soft prompting
Esoterica
Are you?
Underneath the evergreen
The needles turn to Towers
And the Chariot races on
While Infinity's lady silently stills the lion's jaw
Am I?
The yellow Sun pours down
A knowing smile, the Devil laughs
And the waters course more swiftly
While the veil between the pillars grows thinner with each night's dream
Are we?
Birds sing sweetly this alchemy
Earth-bound angel proper measures mix
Bones Know
Evolve! He said, wanting not more of the same
Transcend! He cried, and whispered her name
Black and White steeds charge on, a canopy of stars overhead
Lamenting sorrows yet known but surely to destiny are wed
Sun rise after Death may be just around the bend
Lines curvature does persist and the circle doesn't end
Is it true that revolution is only another turn round the same old center?

Snow
Something which when touched turns to nothing
Is most beautiful when beheld
From a distance
From behind the glass
Strangely
Seen most clearly
Truly as what it is
Not a something
But a Nothing
Signifying all
Time itself
Is
Like
Snow

Breathing Black
Black caterpillar
red mushroom
Strolling trance, fading pen
whirling water
sandy path
waving fern, breathe again
Black fingers
wagon trail
red leaf, message sent
trickle water
pooling grief
stone wall, breathe again
Black eyes
elbow tree
bleeding mushroom, dripping end
crashing down
berry tomb
wet leaf, beathe again
Black cloud
low growl

Better With You
It's better to go with you;
It's better to stay with you;
It's better to sit with you;
It's better to lay with you.

Telephone cords and daffodils
Telephone cords and daffodils,
Pelican beaks and ink spills,
Wet kisses and electric bills,
Laughing, gasping, sweating, chills.

THE INTEREST WITHOUT THE CAPITAL
The lover's food is the love of the bread;
no bread need be at hand:
no one who is sincere in his love is a slave to existence.
Lovers have nothing to do with with with existence;
lovers have the interest without the capital.
Without wings they fly around the world;
without hands they carry the polo ball off the field.
That dervish who caught the scent of Reality
used to weave basket even though his hand had been cut off.
Lover have pitched their tents in nonexistence:
they are of one quality and one essence, as nonexistence is.
